The Discontinuity Guide to Doctor WhoFew things irritated the Brigadier more than discontinuity. In 1995, Paul Cornell, Martin Day, and Keith Topping published the excellent The Discontinuity Guide, a tongue-in-cheek reference guide to the TV series Doctor Who. Following this, an excellent website called The DiscContinuity Guide has provided the same kind of information about the continuing audio adventures based on the series. This site continues the tradition by providing you with guides to the Doctor Who novels and the new series which started in 2005. There are an awful lot of original Doctor Who novels that have been printed under an official BBC license. Most of these have been part of established series - Virgin Books' New Adventures and Missing Adventures as well as BBC Worldwide's Eighth Doctor Adventures and Past Doctor Adventures and Telos' Doctor Who Novellas. There have also been a few shorter series of books, stand alone books, collections of short stories, and spin-off series. I have not included the Novelisations of televised, webcast, or audio stories in this discontinuity guide, as these stories are covered elsewhere - either in the original Discontinuity Guide or the online DiscContinuity Guide. The sole exception to this rule is The Ghosts of N-Space, which was explicitly published as part of the Missing Adventures line.
