1993
During 1993, the youthful Doctor was involved in an incident in Manchester, and UNIT troops are known to have arrived in the area soon afterwards.
In November 1993, the youthful Doctor was sighted in Manchester during a series of reported vampire attacks. Several Mancunians recall having been briefly turned into vampires during a very confused week. The American Fundamentalist Victor Lang was holding an evangelistic crusade in the city when these sightings took place. Events culminated in a very bizarre stadium meeting where Lang lapsed into insanity - claiming to be a vampire. UNIT troops arrived in Manchester in force soon after this, though there is no record of what they actually did.
